Astro Boy!

Dear Parents,

It’s the 8^th week of class. I am very pleased and happy that all of the students improved so much! See, hard work pays off! ^__^ This week, we are going to watch a movie – Astro Boy. It should be very fun to watch!

This week we completed:

Reading: We read City Green. It is a story about a girl named Marcy. She helped in her neighborhood. There was an empty lot and she helped turn it into a beautiful community garden.

Science: This week, we learned about ecosystems and different habitats in each. Each ecosystem includes all the living and nonliving things. Communities are made up of all the living things in the ecosystem. Each community is made up of all the members of each single species. We also learned about food chains and food webs.

Next Week: we will learn about the different roles that plants and animals play. Plants are producers for consumers to eat. Animals can also be a predator or a prey. They can also be a parasite or a host.
